Just a small donation will go a long way to helping us to meet our goal for Penguin Plunge Inc. Our team honors those who have served or are still serving in the military,
Our team is composed of Megan J. Leavey, a famous veteran of the Iraq war; James Leavey, a highly decorated Vietnam War Combat Veteran as well as the retired captain of the Theatrical Teamsters Local 817; Debbie Tarantino, principal of Clarkstown South High School; Richie Laplaca, the Penguin Plunge Ice Man and founder of One Common Thread; Rudy Arietta, Assistant Superintendent for the South Orangetown School District; and the heart of our team, Orangetown Police Department's decorated veteran, the very humble Mike Seidel.
In helping these local children who have serious medical needs, we are also celebrating the work and sacrifices of those who serve in the military. We choose to show our appreciation for these brave soldiers by helping our community here at home.
